Massive transfer of IAS officers in Telangana ...
The Telangana government has issued orders on transferring a large number of IAS officers. The transfer of IAS before the GHMC elections was expected by all but many were amazed at such large scale transfers. The government transferred several IAS officers and assigned additional responsibilities to others.
Sangareddy District Collector M Hanumantrao and Medchal- Malkajgiri District Collectors Venkateshwarlu have been transferred by the government. Medchal Malkajgiri district has handed over additional responsibilities to Hyderabad Collector Swetha Mahanthi. The government has handed over additional responsibilities to the current Siddipet Collector Venkat Ramireddy as the Medak Collector. It is learned that the government transferred two IAS officers four days ago. Kumram Bheem Asifabad District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and Jayashankar Bhupalpally District Collector Abdul Azim have been transferred.
Sandeep Jha has been replaced by Kumram Bheem District Collector Rahul Raj, a 2015-batch IAS officer. Rahul is currently the Additional Commissioner of GHMC. Jayashankar has handed over additional responsibilities to Mulugu Collector Krishna Aditya in place of Bhupalpally District Collector Abdul Azim.
Earlier, the government transferred Manchiryala District Collector Bharti Holikeri as Siddipet Collector. Adilabad Collector Sikta Patnaik has been given full additional responsibilities as Manchiryala Collector. It is learned that in February this year, the government transferred a large number of collectors.
The government transferred 50 IAS officers at a time. This is the first time such a large-scale transfer of IAS has taken place since the TRS came to power for the second time. The government has made changes in all Departments from district and state level. While appointing new collectors for 21 districts. Changed officers in key branches.
