Bangalore University gears up physical classes to UG and PG Students

After the announcement of reopening of colleges on November 17th by the Government, the Bangalore University has made preparations for the physical classes to students of its Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses.

The Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University Prof. Venugopal K R, has said that safety measures are being taken in the situation of COVID-19 pandemic. He held a meeting of the Principals of the colleges and the Chairpersons of the University Departments in this regard.

Bangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof Venugopal has said the Standard Operating Procedures issued by the University Grants Commission will be implemented while opening the colleges. He added that five Task Forces have been constituted who will monitor and supervise the academic activities.

At present, it is decided to begin physical classes only to final year Degree and Post Graduate Degree safely. It has been directed to obtain a consent letter from the parents of the students for attending physical classes in the prescribed format. The online classes will continue to students of other semesters.

The College buildings, toilets, class rooms, laboratories have been sanitized and steps have been taken to sanitize the same from time to time after the commencement of classes. Teachers, students and staff are directed to undergo COVID tests 3 days before attending classes. Prof. Venugopal K R has said that steps have also been taken to create awareness among Teachers, students and staff in this regard.
