AP Govt takes steps to bring situation under control in Eluru
Andhra Pradesh, the State Government and West Godavari district administration have taken several steps to bring the situation under control in Eluru which has been affected by a ‘mystery illnesses. Officials said, the frequency of cases being admitted to hospitals is steadily decreasing.
16 people affected by the mysterious illness, were admitted to Eluru Hospital today. A total number of 585 people who are affected with the mystery illness have been admitted to the hospitals so far and out of them 503 have been discharged after treatment.
At Least, 82 people are under treatment in different hospitals in Eluru. Eluru Government General Hospital Superintendent Dr AV Mohan said that about 27 people have been sent to Vijayawada and Guntur for better treatment.
Meanwhile, teams from AIIMS, Managalagiri, AP, AIIMS-Delhi and ICMR- New Delhi and National Control Disease Centre -Delhi and a representative from WHO are visiting Eluru to find the reason behind the mystery illness among the people of the area.
