Diwali bonus for workers – PRP for officials

Similarly, the state chief minister has been allowing Singareni workers to pay Diwali bonus along with profit bonus every year. The Chief Minister has agreed to pay a profit bonus of Rs 278 crore under 28% and a total of Rs 261 crore under the Diwali bonus of Rs 539 crore in 2019-20. Together these two bonuses, each worker received an average bonus of Rs 60 lakh this year.
However, Diwali bonus is not paid to the officers (PLRS) like the workers. In its place, the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries appointed PRP. (Performance Related Pay) was decided in 2007. According to this, according to the Wage Amendment Act, the officers working in 230 heavy industries in the country are entitled to PRP every year on the basis of their industry performance. Are paying. This applies to Coal India as well as Singareni. Although it has been implemented in Kolindia since 2007, the PRP was not implemented until the formation of Telangana state in Singareni.
