Ramesh Pokhriyal: Students must come up with unique and creative ideas to make ToyCathan-2021 a great success
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has appealed to the students, parents and teachers to come forward with the unique and creative ideas to make Toycathon 2021 a grand success.
In a video message yesterday, the Minister said, India’s toy industry is worth 10 thousand 500 crore rupees and the country imports 80 per cent of toys from outside.
He said, the Toycathon will provide a unique platform to conceptualize innovative toys based on the Indian value system which will inculcate the positive behaviour and good value among the children.
The Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India can be a biggest manufacturing hub for toys.
Toycathon 2021 will majorly focus on conceptualizing new and innovative toys using local material which are economical, affordable, safe and environment friendly.
The proposals can be submitted by the 20th of this month. There will be two categories for the Toycathon, one is for online toys and another for physical toys.
Toycathon is an inter-Ministerial initiative of six Ministries wherein nine themes will be promoted under three tracks for junior level participants, senior level participants and start-ups & professional level.
