JEE Advanced 2021 date announced: Exam to be held on July 3

The JEE Advanced 2021 examination will be conducted on July 3, 2021, as per the announcement made by Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

The dates of the JEE Advanced 2021 exam have been announced by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on his official Twitter account during a live session conducted at 6 pm today, January 7. The engineering entrance examination will be conducted on July 3, 2021.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal also states that the eligibility criteria for seeking admission into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), which requires the students to score at least 75 percent marks in their class 12 exams, has been scrapped for this year.

During his live session, the education minister said that the date of the JEE Advanced 2021 exam has been set as July 3 so that students can get ample amounts of time to prepare for the entrance exam and deal with the academic pressure brought on by the pandemic situation.

JEE Advanced 2021: Other details

It was announced earlier that the students who appeared for the JEE Main 2020 exam last year and couldn’t appear for the JEE Advanced 2020 exams due to the pandemic will have the provision to appear for the JEE Advanced 2021 examination this year.

This year, the JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted four times to give all students a chance to appear for the exams. The first attempt of the exam will be from February 23 to 26. The last date to register online for the examination is January 16.
