CBI files charge sheet against BSF Commandant, six others in cattle smuggling case
The CBI has filed a charge sheet against the then BSF Commandant Satish Kumar and six others before a Asansol Court in the cattle smuggling case.
According to the FIR filed by the CBI, four persons, namely, BSF Commandant Satish Kumar, Mohammed Enamul Haque, Mohammed Gulam Mustafa and Anarul Sheikh allegedly indulged in cattle smuggling across the India-Bangladesh border.
According to the FIR, Kumar was posted as the Commandant of 36 Battalion, BSF, in Malda between December 2015 and April 2017. Kumar was arrested but later granted bail on a personal bond of five lakh rupees. The case will come up for hearing today.
