Venkaiah Naidu lauds ‘Green India challange’ services to develop greenery
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, 30, lauded the services of the ‘Green India Challenge’ under the auspices of Rajya Sabha member Joginipalli Santosh Kumar as part of greenery development. MP Santosh Kumar presented a book on Vrikshavedam to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu at his residence in Hyderabad today.
Rajya Sabha Chairman recollected his child hood memories after seeing the slokas and scenic beauty of the pictures taken from Telangana, present in the book.
Honourable Vice President felt that this book had taken him back to his child hood days. He stated that he used to roam in jungles along with his both Maternal and Paternal Grand Mothers’ in his early days of childhood.
He opined that those who are living away from the nature were affected with Covid virus while those who were living with the nature were able escape from this deadly virus.
Honorable Vice President read out a sloka from Goutama Dharma shastra which States “One who cuts trees without any purpose will suffer on account of lack of life -breath”
Rajya sabha Chairman appreciated Green India Challenge and its efforts in making Koti Vrusksharchana a grand success commemorating the birthday of CM KCR.
Vice President in his twitter account appreciated the book to be wonderful as the book is a good collection of slokas about nature from our ancient Vedas & Puranas.
