Telangana govt to reopen schools for classes 6th, 7th and 8th from Wednesday after COVID lockdown
Telangana, the State Government has decided to reopen schools for classes 6th, 7th and 8th from tomorrow after COVID lockdown. Education Minister Sabita Indrareddy informed that the decision was taken following instructions from Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to reopen. The schools will have to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 guidelines and consent of the parents is mandatory for the students to attend classes.
State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar directed the District Collectors to reopen schools for Class 6th to 8th tomorrow to a maximum extent and if not latest by 1st of March. He held a review meeting in this regard in Hyderabad today.
About 17.24 lakh students will be studying in these classes in the state. All COVID-19 precautions will be taken for the safety of students and teachers.
