REC successfully hosts 23rd Inter–CPSU Carrom Tournament
New Delhi: The 23rd Inter–CPSU Carrom Tournament under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board was hosted by REC Limited at Hotel Madhuban, Dehradun from 24th to 27th February 2021. Out of the 14 member organizations under Ministry of Power, 10 organizations had participated in the Tournament wherein 10 teams in the men’s category and 6 teams in the women’s category contested for the Team Championship.
The team from Ministry of Power in the men’s category and team from PGCIL under women’s category emerged as the winners in the team championships. Sh. Sumeet Kumar of CEA and Ms. Champa Bakshi of SJVN Ltd. won the individual championships in the men’s singles & women’s singles categories respectively. The pair of Sh. Sumeet Kumar & Sh. Saurabh Parthsarthi from CEA and Ms. Pooja & Ms. G Laxmi from PGCIL were victorious in the doubles championships under the men’s doubles & women’s doubles category.
Ms. Kalpana Kaul, Executive Director (HR) from REC Ltd, New Delhi was the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony held on 27th February 2021 and gave away the medals & trophies to the winners.
