Prakash Javedkar lauds to interest of the Forest Women IFS Officers
Prakash Javedkar Hon’ble (MoEFCC) applauded on the interest of the Forest Women Officers selection of Forest Career like other sectors.
As the matter of respect on the International Women’s Day, Minister conveyed the greetings to the Women Officers and Staff, he launched a book titled as Green Queens of India- Nations Pride with contents of profile of the Women IFS Officers at Delhi, today.
At present, there are 284 Nos. of Women Officers are serving the Nation all parts of India. Among them (3) Forest Officers are head of the states viz., Telangana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh are functioning as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests

Minister greeted, those women who wish to make careers in Forests believing equals topping in other sectors heights, which is good and welcoming part. He aspired to see ratio 33% of women staff in the forest in the near future. He appalued when PCCF R.Sobha brought to the notice of the figure of 30% of women strength is serving the Telangana State. All the Officers who are in the conference intended to consider to conduct a seminar after complete corona eradication.
At the launching session at Delhi along with Central Minister some of the women IFS Officers were participated in the Video Conference.
In the Video conference along with PCCF R.Sobha, Smt. C.S.Rama Lakshmi, IFS (Retd.) the first woman IFS officer, Smt. Kamala Sobhana Rao (Retd.), Soni Bala Devi, IFS and OSD to CMO Priyankaa Varghese are also present in the meeting.
Sri P. Gupta, Principal Secretary Central Forest Department, Director General Sanjay Kumar, and Central IFS Representatives attended the meeting.
