AP State Agriculture Mission studied bamboo cultivation and marketing
Velagapudi: The AP State Agriculture Mission is designing innovative schemes to provide wider benefits to farmers in the state through bamboo cultivation and marketing as well as their economic development. As part of this, AP State Agriculture Mission Vice Chairman MVS Nagi Reddy chaired a meeting on Wednesday to discuss various issues to this effect.
Opportunities to encourage farmers towards bamboo cultivation in the state under the leadership of National Bamboo Mission, thereby reviewing the benefits available to farmers. Income from bamboo crop, bamboo based products, their marketing, varieties of bamboo and their uses were discussed with officials, farmers and scientists.
In this meeting Dr. Chaudappa Vice Chancellor Best University Anantapur, Shajik Ahmed Registrar Best University, RS Reddy CEO AP Medicinal Plants Board, G P Anand DFO Projects, Dr. Subbirami Reddy Principal Scientist Angro, Mission Executive Member Dr.M. Chandra Mohan Reddy, farmers from different regions participated.
