Govt of Odisha fully cooperates with Singareni Coal Mines: N. Balaram Director

A high-level delegation led by Singareni Director Finance Project and Planning Director Balaram today toured the state of Odisha on various issues related to Nine block and New Role foot coal blocks allotted to Singareni in the state of Odisha. Under Singareni C & MD N Sridhar’s direction, the high – level team held meetings with state government officials in the state of Odisha.

The team was accompanied by Director Adviser Mining DN Prasad, Advisor Naini Vijaya Rao, GM Estates SDM Subhani and other officials.

The team, headed by Director Finance Projects and Planning Shri and Balaram, along with the Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Vinil Krishna, briefed the gathering on other assistance related to the Naini Block and the approvals to be granted by the Government in respect of the New Role Block.

The Singareni Director of Finance has appealed for a full socio-economic survey along with land acquisition for the New Patra Pada mine, and the Special Secretary has given his full support and assured full support from the state government for the Singareni mines.

Odisha Mineral Corporation, which operates mines in the same area along with Singareni, Mahanadi Coal Field Limited, Hindolka, Nalco, KPCL, etc. The Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Shri Vinil Krishna also expressed his support for the Director’s request for full co-operation from the State Government in constructing a special railway line for coal transportation in collaboration with.

Singareni officials also met Orissa State Mines and Steel Secretary Shri Surendra Kumar, Revenue Secretary Shri Vishnu Pada Sethi and Odisha Mining Corporation Secretary Shri Balwant Singh. They also responded positively to the request for co-operation on various permits for the two blocks allotted by the Center to the Singareni Company. The team also held a meeting with the Angul District Collector, who owns the Singareni mines.

As part of the visit, a team of senior officials led by Director Finance Shri N. Balaram visited the Naini Coal Block area to inspect the work being done there. It was suggested that the work should be completed more quickly and coal production should take place earlier than expected. The team also visited Naini Block and nearby Utkal C Block Machi Kutta Blocks .The General Manager Projects and Planning Shri P.K. Sattayya. General Manager Finance Mr. Subbarao, General Manager Naini Mr. Suresh A. GM Exploration Division Pankaj also participated.

Director of Finance, Sri N. Balaram, said that the state government of Odisha, the high level and district level authorities there were fully cooperating with the Singareni coal block approvals in the state of Odisha and they had responded positively to what they had reported.
