India vs England: While Rishabh Pant scored 78 runs in 62 balls, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur contributed with important wickets. India wins the series 2-1.
India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant showcased his talent with the bat, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur starred with the ball as India pulled off a 7-run win in the 3rd ODI against England to claim the series 2-1. Sam Curran put on a brave fight for England as he hammered 95 runs in 83 balls to take England close to a win. But it proved to be not enough in the end for England to pull off a miraculous win.
The series was levelled at 1-1, and when England captain Jos Buttler elected to bowl, Virat Kohli & co. had a tough task in front of them.
India openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave a good start, as the former scored a half-century, before getting dismissed for 67. Pant stitched an important 99-run partnership in the middle overs with Hardik Pandya, scoring 78 runs in 62 balls, after India lost big wickets, including that of skipper Kohli and an in-form KL Rahul.
After pacer Sam Curran dismissed Pant, India allrounder Hardik Pandya was cleaned up by Ben Stokes for 64. India lost quick wickets in the death overs, eventually getting bundled out for 329.
