Goa: The Singareni Thermal Power Station has been awarded the Best Flyash Consumer Award at the national level in recognition of its 100% utilization of flyash emitted from thermal power plants.
Singareni Director (E&M) D. Satyanarayana Rao received the award from Mission Energy Foundation Director Manoj Kumar today at the conclusion of a two-day international conference on flyash use under the auspices of the Mission Energy Foundation in Goa. Singareni received the award in the category of thermal plants generating over 500 MW of electricity.

Transportation mainly to cement companies
Flyash emitted from the Singareni Thermal Power Station is mainly transported to cement companies. During Singareni 2020-21, 16.86 lakh tonnes of flyash was shipped to cement factories, accounting for 107 per cent of flyash consumption.
