Srinagar: SMVDSB makes elaborate arrangements to facilitate the pilgrims
In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate the pilgrims who are likely to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi during Navratras commencing from today.
CEO, SMVDSB, Ramesh Kumar, yesterday visited Bhawan and various other locations on the track and reviewed the arrangements and also took stock of arrangements being made at Yatra Registration Counters at Katra, Darshani Deodi, Banganga, Adhkuwari, Tarakote Marg, Sanjichhat, Himkoti Marg, Bhawan, Bhairon Complex and other locations enroute Katra to Bhawan.

The arrangements, made for the pilgrims interalia, include ensuring round the clock water and power supply all along the tracks leading to the Shrine, sanitisation, medicare and availability of special “fast related” food at the catering outlets of the Shrine Board. Besides, elaborate arrangements for ensuring strict enforcement of all precautionary measures vis-à-vis COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. Pertinent to mention, the Bhawan of Mata Vaishno Devi, Atka and the area surrounding it have been beautifully decorated with exquisite flowers.
Likewise, the illumination of the Bhawan area with attractive and colourful lights has also been done. Worth to mention, there will be bhajan and bhaint performances by renowned artists during Morning and Evening Atka Aarti during these Navratras also. Other special features of arrangements include organising of Shat Chandi Maha Yagya at the Holy Shrine during the Navratras for peace, prosperity and health of humanity. The Maha Yagya will be telecast live from 10.30 AM to 12.00 noon daily during the Navratras.
