Singareni’s 28 MW Solar plant synchronization in Mandamarri

The 28 MW solar plant at Mandamarri, part of the 300 MW solar power plant being built by Singareni, was inaugurated today under the auspices of the company’s directors.

In the presence of Chinthala Srinivas, Mandamarri conducted a pooja for the 28 MW plant and connected the power to the Transco grid by turning on the switch.
With this, 43 MW of the 90 MW of the second phase was connected. It is learned that a 15 MW solar plant, which was completed in the same area on the 8th of this month, was commissioned and connected to the grid.
On this occasion, Singareni CMD. Mr. N. Sridhar Singareni extended his congratulations to the Solar Department officials. In addition to the construction of the remaining 47 MW plants in the second phase, the 81-watt plants in the third phase are also scheduled to be completed and connected by next October.
In a way that no other coal industry in the country has undertaken, the company CMD Mr. N. Sridhar. With the special initiative of CMD, Singareni is successfully completing the construction of 300 MW solar plants. The setting up of solar plants will save Singareni up to Rs 120 crore per annum in electricity costs and efforts are underway to build another 350 MW floating solar plants on the Karimnagar Maneru Dam, the company’s directors said.
Singareni’s recognized Labor Union TBGKS President B Venkatrao and Representative Union AITUC General Secretary V Sitaramaiah lauded the management for setting up thermal and solar power plants to provide a sustainable future for the company.
Karimnagar, Adilabad and Nizamabad (TRANSCO) Chief Engineer Mr. Sampath Raju was felicitated by the directors of the company for their co-operation in setting up solar plants in Singareni.
