It seems that the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) has decided to reduce the working hours of banks in Telangana. Corona virus is rampant across the state, with nearly 600 State Bank employees reportedly infected with the virus.
SLBC plans to limit services to 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, it was decided to limit the staff to 50 per cent. It is learned that a proposal to shorten the bank hours till the 15th of next month has been sent to the government for approval. The new working hours will come into effect from tomorrow if approved. However, there will be no change in the bank office hours.
SLBC has directed bankers to ensure that banking hours are not reduced and other online services, including ATMs and cash deposit machines, are not disrupted. Corona quote advised consumers to come to banks only for mandatory services in the face of serious.
