AP: CM Jagan deposited Rs 1,109 crore in women’s accounts of self-help groups
Second year in a row payments in women’s accounts of self-help groups. CM YS Jagan today deposited Rs 1,109 crore under zero interest in the loan accounts of SHG women by pressing a button on the computer at the camp office. Facilitated the economic development of self-help groups.
The government is implementing a zero interest scheme on loans to women belonging to self-help groups if loans are repaid on time. To that end, for the second year in a row, has implemented YSR zero interest scheme, depositing Rs 1,109 crore in their loan accounts to benefit 1.02 crore women belonging to 9.34 lakh SHGs across the state. CM Shri Y.S. Jagan, who pressed the button on the computer at the camp office, credited the amount to the women’s loan accounts of the self-help groups to this extent.
What did CM Shri YS Jagan say on this occasion…
The better women, the better the state:
‘Today is a good show again. By the grace of God, this is a good event for 1.02 crore sisters in 9.34 lakh SHGs. Glad it was happening on my hands. If God giving me this opportunity is one thing .. the second thing is that families are better if sisterhood is good. If they are good, the state will be good. ‘
For 23 months…
‘Are human rights enforced in a society? Are there freedoms? Are all equal access to constitutional opportunities? Is there protection in this society? The answer to all these questions is the same. All these are fully available to women in any society. In those society human rights, freedom, liberty and equality are all there. All is well. We have all stood by Akka Chellemma for these 23 months after the formation of the government to build such a society. Their security and progress will be for the next generation as well, every step taken for the empowerment of women. We are with them every step of the way, from the baby in the womb to the grandmother in adulthood.
We stand for women’s empowerment economically and politically. ‘
Under zero interest…
We are now depositing Rs.1109 crore in their loan accounts to benefit the 1.02 crore sisters of 9.34 lakh communities in respect of the self-help groups’ sister payments made on time in 2020–21.This government is committed to the welfare and development of women. By the time we came to power, that is, by April 2019, there were 8.71 lakh SHGs in the state, which had increased to over 60,000 and today stands at 9.34 lakh.
That’s why the number has increased:
“Even if the state government’s revenue declines sharply during the Covid crisis, it is not because of the Rs 6,792 crore in their hands in the support scheme, but because of the zero interest payments made in the 2019-20 financial year. That is Big proof ‘.
