As per the directions of CMD Mr. N Sridhar, all the area hospitals across Singareni are being provided with pre-requisite medicines and oxygen cylinders for Covid medical services. The directors of Singareni have asked the area general managers to set up separate wards with another 500 beds in addition to the existing beds in the areas.
Singareni Directors S. Chandrasekhar and N. Balaram made several suggestions in a video conference held today.
He urged all area hospitals to be prepared to deal with any situation from now on as the number of cases is likely to increase further in the month of May. “We are in consultation with the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and other industries to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen and we are going to supply oxygen cylinders especially to Singareni,” he said. It was suggested that in addition to the existing 700 beds in the Area Hospital, another 500 beds should be set up as Covid wards in local buildings with facilities.
