Telangana: Health Minister urges Centre to reconsider rates of COVID vaccines
Telangana Medical and Health Minister E. Rajender today urged the Centre to reconsider the rates of COVID vaccines. He said the vaccine companies should not be allowed to fix different rates for states and centre.
Addressing a media conference this evening, the Minister said there is no dearth for Medical Oxygen for COVID patients in the state. He said currently 270 tonnes of Oxygen required for COVID patients and the reserves in the state are comfortable after the Centre allocated oxygen supplies recently.

He also announced that 10 thousand beds in the state will be converted into oxygen-beds by providing necessary arrangements in a week time on war-footing. He exuded hope that the surge in the number of COVID cases being reported daily, will come down soon.
He asked private hospitals to follow the government fixed rates for COVID treatment and warned stringent action against violators.
