Four patients died of scorching fire in a private hospital in Thane, Maharashtra at around 3.40 am today. According to the information, the remaining patients have been shifted to another hospital. Relief and rescue work is going on the spot. Many patients are said to be injured.

According to preliminary reports, a fire broke out at Prime Criticare Hospital in Kausa in Mumbra area of Thane district in the early hours of Wednesday. According to Thane police and fire officials, more than 20 patients have been evacuated so far.
After hearing the news, Mumbra-Kalwa MLA and State Housing Minister Dr. Jitendra Awhad reached the spot to take stock of the situation. “The cause of the fire is not yet known,” he said.
