DC vs KKR, IPL 2021: Highlights
Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw hit a stupendous 82 off just 41 deliveries to help the Capitals gun down 155 against KKR in 16.3 overs. Dhawan too got among the runs as he scored 46 off 45 balls and stitched a crucial 132-run opening stand with Shaw. Dhawan fell four short of a half-century, trapped leg before by Cummins.
“Prithvi was playing amazing, was lovely to watch from the other end. At the same time, we were getting so many runs, I didn’t think of taking too many risks and played to the game situation.
“I just have to play my role according to the situation and that’s what I did. I made a conscious effort to bring up my strike rate because I knew this game needed that. There was no need for me to take any risk today,” Dhawan said after the match.
