AP: Corona medical care without permission Strict measures against private hospitals

Amravati, May 2: State Medical and Health Secretary Anil Kumar Singhal has warned that stern action will be taken against the owners of private hospitals that provide corona medical services without the permission of the state government.
He was speaking at a press conference at the APIIC building in Mangalagiri on Sunday. In the past 24 hours, 1,14,299 corona tests were performed, 23,920 positive cases were reported and 83 deaths were reported. Of the 558 hospitals identified across the state, 55,719 beds were made available.
Medical services are being provided to corona victims in 33,765 beds at 12 noon today (Sunday). He said 869 ICU beds were in use in Guntur and 684 in Krishna. In Kurnool, there are 258 vacancies for 358 ICU beds. 105 are available in East Godavari.
The state has 27,576 oxygen beds and 18,299 patients. We provide medical services to 10,100 people in 81 Covid Care Centers. There are 27,615 Remdivir injections available in government securities. 14,602 injections were delivered to private hospitals today. It received 437 metric tonnes of oxygen from the central government in 24 hours.
104, increased collision with tele call center …
Anil Kumar Singhal, chief secretary of the state medical health department, said the highest number of phone calls were coming to the 104 call center and the telemedicine call center. The 104 call center received 17,579 phone calls today (Sunday). Of these, 7,427 were for various information, 3,773 for Covid tests, 2,550 for test results and 2,509 for hospital admissions.
The telemedicine call center received 1,469 phone calls and received medical advice and referrals. Home Isolations has more than 92,700 patients. It employed more than 18,000 medical staff last year and has so far recruited 16,019 in the medical health department so far this year. Govt will replace another two to three thousand posts.
Oxygen … Committee set up to procure other essentials
He said the state government had appointed a committee comprising senior officials to procure essential items like oxygen and medicines. The government has already issued a G.O. for the appointment of the committee.
He said the formation of the committee would expedite the procurement process. Oxygen consumption in the state has increased in the wake of an increase in corona cases this year over last year. The Center has brought the same issue to its notice and wants to increase the oxygen supply to the state.
Strict measures if corona medical services are not approved
