Tamil Nadu: DMK led Democratic progressive alliance wins in 159 constituencies
Tamil Nadu, out of the 234 constituencies, DMK led Democratic progressive alliance has won in 159 constituencies and AIADMK led NDA alliance has secured 75 constituencies. The total vote percentage of the winning alliance is 39.67 while the opposition alliance had a share of 35.91.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy tendered his resignation today. The advocate general of the State Government Sankara Narayanan and the consultant for the state Government Shanmugam also resigned from their respective posts today.

DMK leader M.K. Stalin held discussions with the Chief Secretary Rajeev Ranjan and State health Secretary Radhakrishnan on the present COVID situation.
The State has registered more than 20 thousand fresh cases yesterday and more than a lakh patients are being treated for the infection.
