Hyderabad: 30 flights cancelled in Shamshabad Airport due to Covid surge

Several domestic flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad to various cities were cancelled from midnight on Friday. Airport sources said in a statement on Friday that the decision was taken as there were restrictions on passengers in various cities in the wake of the Covid Second Wave calm.

Passengers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are postponing their schedules as other states stipulate that they must stay in quarantine for 14 days.

Passengers to the airports were reduced in the wake of traffic congestion during the night curfew. As a result, about 30 flights from Hyderabad to Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Chennai and other cities were cancelled.
