Kerala recorded the highest number of daily COVID cases at 43,529
Kerala reported its highest surge in daily COVID cases today, as it confirmed 43,529 new cases with a test positivity rate of 29.75 per cent.
The COVID graph of the state has risen to its highest ever, after showing a declining trend for the last couple of days.
The daily death count has also recorded its highest after 95 more deaths were confirmed of COVID today taking the death toll to 6,053.
Presently, the active case load is over 4,32,000. Kerala is under lockdown since May 8th and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that people at large are cooperating with the restrictions.
He further said that as the COVID scenario continues to worsen the government is taking all steps to further increase the production of Oxygen and urged the people to confine the Eid prayers and celebrations to home.
