The Singareni Thermal Power Station at Jaipur in Manchiriala district has once again showcased its talent at the national level. In April, it achieved 98.57 PLF (Plant Load Factor) and was ranked seventh in the list of 25 best thermal power plants nationally. In this way, the plant has been ranked in the list of top 25 plants nationally several times in the past as well.
Mr. N. Sridhar Chairman and Managing Director of the company, extended his congratulations to the officers and staff working at the thermal power plant.
He also demanded that Telangana should do its part to meet the electricity needs of the state by generating electricity with better PLF than before.
In April, the thermal power plant generated 851.66 million units of electricity and supplied 804.35 units to the Telangana state grid. Since its inception (2017), the plant has generated 39,946 million units of electricity and supplied 37,533 million units to the needs of the state of Telangana.
A powerhouse that has been gifted many times in the past
Singareni Thermal Power Station has repeatedly been one of the top 25 thermal power plants in the country in the list of over 250 thermal power plants. In the 2017-18 financial year, just a few months after the launch of the power plant, it was ranked 5th in the list of 25 best thermal power plants nationally and made its debut for the first time. Ranked 7th in 2019-20. In 2018-19, the 2 units at the station were ranked 16th nationally despite being overhauled.
The Singareni Thermal Power Station has achieved 100% PLF three times so far. The center achieved 100% PLF in September 2018, February 2019 and February 2020. Both the units at the Singareni Thermal Power Station have so far achieved PLF of 15 times 100 per cent. On a monthly basis, Unit 2 of the station has already received nine times 100% PLF. Achieved, Unit 1 achieved six times one hundred percent PLF.
