Bengaluru: Two AIR India flights carrying 34,200 kgs of Zeolite arrive at KIA
Two AIR India flights carrying 34,200 kgs of Zeolite arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru early this morning.
The consignment was imported from Rome in Italy.
These are the first of many batches of Zeolite being imported by the Government of India to give a fillip to oxygen supplies in the country amid the Covid 19 pandemic.
Air India will operate over 15 flights to import zeolite which will help set up around 500 Medical Oxygen Plants across the country using DRDO technology.
Hospitals will be able to generate on site medical oxygen, in a cost-effective manner with this oxygen plant rather than depending upon sourcing it from other places.
