Kerala reports 29,704 new COVID-19 cases, 34,296 recoveries
29,704 new COVID cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Kerala. Test positivity rate falls under 26 per cent.
The State has reported more recoveries than positive cases today after testing 1,15,982 samples. 34,296 people were tested negative, taking the active caseload to 4,40,652 in the state. 89 deaths were also confirmed of Covid. This took the cumulative fatalities of the State to 6,428.
Presently the State is under lockdown restrictions till May 23rd.
Meanwhile the triple lockdown will come into effect from tonight in four districts, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Malappuram that has high test positivity rate.
Entry and exit points of these districts will be closed and government has banned all non essential travel.
