Supreme Court orders MP Raghuram Krishnaraju to undergo medical examination at Secunderabad Army Hospital
The Supreme Court has issued orders in the Raghuram Krishnaraju case. The court ordered a medical examination at the Secunderabad Army Hospital. Raghuram Krishnaraju will undergo medical tests as part of his legal custody. The Supreme Court has directed the Telangana High Court to appoint a Judicial Officer.
The court said that medical examinations should be conducted in the presence of a judicial officer. The entire medical expenses were to be borne by Raghuram Krishnaraju. The apex court, which heard the MP’s petition alleging that he was beaten and tortured in CID custody, issued directions to that effect.
Adjournment of hearing on bail petition
The Supreme Court on Monday held a hearing on Raghuram Krishnaraju’s petition. CID lawyer Dushyanth Dave told the Supreme Court that the allegations that Raghuram Krishnaraju was beaten in custody were untrue. He said he was ready for medical examination in the presence of a senior judicial officer.

Lawyer Dave told the court that he had no objection to Raghuram Krishnaraju’s medical examination at AIIMS. After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the hearing to Friday.
