Appointment of Judicial Officer to oversee MP Raghurama Medical Examinations
YSRCP Narasapuram MP Raghuram Krishnaraju has been appointed by the Telangana High Court as a judicial officer to oversee medical examinations. The High Court has appointed Judicial Registrar Nagarjuna as per the directions of the Supreme Court.
To this end, a medical examination was conducted for the MP today in the presence of a judicial officer at the Secunderabad Army Hospital. It is learned that the Supreme Court has ordered a medical examination on the petition of the MP who allegedly beat and tortured himself in the custody of the APCID.
A team of three Army doctors is conducting medical tests on Raghuram Krishnaraju at the Secunderabad Army Hospital. Authorities are videotaping the medical examination. The medical report will be submitted to the Supreme Court by the judge in a sealed cover.
It is learned that the Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant bail to MP Raghuram Krishnaraju, who was arrested in a conspiracy case to destabilize the state government.
The apex court also rejected his plea to conduct medical tests at Ramesh Hospital. Raghuram Krishnaraju was shifted to the Army Hospital in Secunderabad and ordered to undergo a medical examination under the supervision of a judicial officer appointed by the Telangana High Court.
The entire process was videotaped and a report was sent to them in a sealed cover by the Registrar General of the Telangana High Court. The apex court adjourned the case till Friday, directing the state government to file counterclaims by the 19th of this month.
