Tamil Nadu:  CM M.K. Stalin begins vaccination for 18 plus category at Tiruppur Nethaji Apparel Park

Tamil Nadu:  Chief Minister M.K. Stalin began vaccination for 18 plus category at Tiruppur Nethaji Apparel Park today.

He began his two day whirl wind visit to Salem, Tiruppur, Coimbatore Tiruchy and Madurai this morning. The State recived One lakh Covishield vaccines on Wednesday and has more than ten lakh dose of vaccines in stock.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited Salem Stainless Steel plant and inaugurated a 500 bed with oxygen facilities at the Covid care Centre. The special hospital was set up in ten days after the Government decided to add more oxygen bed facilities throughout the State.

Already the government hospitals in the District have 1583 beds and private hospitals have 2770 beds.The District has a monitoring team comprising of 354 members in 177 places to coordinate Covid special care.

Stalin also visited an upgraded primary health centre on the way. He will have a review meeting at Coimbatore and later in the day will depart to Madurai.

Tomorrow he will review the covid situation at Madurai and Tiruchirapalli. On another note, Today morning another consignment of 78 metric tonne of liquid oxygen was received from Rourkela.

As of now, The State has received total of 584 metric tonnes of oxygen.
