NMDC CMD Sumit Deb elected as new Chairman of Hyderabad Chapter

MEAI Hyderabad chapter New chairman of the, NMDC CMD Mr. Sumit Deb said that for the development of the mining Industry in the Nation and to develop new skills for the mining students special efforts are put forward under the auspices of the Engineers Association of India (MEAI).
He said that, the association has played a key role by bringing the mining Engineers who are playing an important role in bringing out the natural resources useful for the development of the country under one roof. On this occasion he called for making MEAI much stronger and collectively work towards achieving the targets. He recollected that MEAI, Hyderabad chapter conducted many programs successful under the leadership of the Hyderabad chapter ex-chairman Mr. B.R.V. Sushil Kumar.
On Monday, Mining Engineering Association of India, Hyderabad chapter conducted the working committee meeting online including the taking over of the new committee. MEAI Annual General body meeting(AGM) was held on March 8th this year and elected unanimously new committee members.
Sri. Sumit Deb took over as the new Chairman in this program, Dr. M.S.Venkata Ramaiah who is the retired GM of Singareni and professor of Malla Reddy college of Engineering took over as the Vice Chairman, Sri. B. Mahesh, Singareni PRO & Chief liaison officer took over as the General Secretary, Sri. Swamy Krishnaji,Asst.Director,Mines& Geology took over as the Joint Secretary, Sri. P.V. R. S. Raju, GM, MyHome Cements (MHPL) took over as the Treasurer.
On this occasion, MEAI ex-Chairman Sri.B.R.V.Sushil Kumar, said that he would extend his full cooperation in the process of achieving the targets of the association and he also thanked the members who have extended their cooperation during his tenure. The new members were also introduced in this program.
Association Vice Chairman Sri. M.S.Venkatramaiah hoped that MEAI will be further strengthened under the leadership of the new Chairman. The first resolution in the executive committee meeting was to provide financial assistance of Rs. 50 thousand on behalf of the association to the family of contract employee who was working in MEAI office.
Condolences were paid to the mining officials who passed away due to Covid. New General Secretary, Singareni PRO & Chief Liaison officer Sri. B. Mahesh read the vote of thanks and thanked all the people who have participated in the meeting and also those who have been continuously providing their help and encouraging them.
Speaking on this occasion mining engineers association of India secretary general, Sri. M. Narasaiah praised the activities of the mining engineering association for the mining students.
