Corona lockdown extended for another week in Bihar, H’Pradesh and U’khand
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the lockdown that is currently in force across the state till May 25, has now been extended till June 1, 2021.Vaccination centres, banks and essential services will remain functional during the lockdown.
This decision was taken at a meeting of the crisis management group which was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Mr Kumar said there is a good impact of lockdown in the state. The Chief Minister said, positivity rate has declined and recovery rate increased in the state after the lockdown in the state.
As per revised guidelines DMs of different districts have been authorised to take additional steps for tightening the lockdown in the concerned district.
The Himachal Cabinet has decided to further extend the Corona curfew in the entire state till 31st of this month with the same restrictions.
The decision was taken in a State Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while reviewing the COVID-19 situation of the State in Shimla, today
The Cabinet also decided that the Department of Health would encourage private hospitals in the State to increase vaccination in their institutions. It was felt that MLAs may review along with concerned SDM the welfare/ treatment being provided to COVID patients in home isolation.
In Uttarakhand, the COVID curfew has been extended till the 1st of June. Cabinet Minister and spokesperson Mr. Subodh Uniyal said in Dehradun that shops selling essential items like milk, vegetables, fruits, fish and meat shops including PDS shops will now open from 8 am to 11 am daily.
