AP: 2nd dose of Covaxin from today
Anaravati: The second dose of Covaxin will be given across the state on Wednesday and Thursday, said Anil Kumar Singhal, chief secretary, state medical health department. District Collectors have been directed to give a second dose of Covaxin to 90,000 people in todays.
To date, 3,000 amphotericin B viruses have been distributed to all districts as part of black fungus control. Krishnapatnam said the state government would take a decision on the drug in three to four days. He was speaking at a press conference held at the APIIC building in Mangalagiri on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, 72,979 corona tests were performed, 15,284 positive cases were reported and 106 deaths. He said there were 6,264 ICU beds across the state, 5,640 filled with patients and 624 beds vacant. While there are 2,122 vacancies for oxygen beds in the state, beds are available in all districts except Vizianagaram. There are 17,061 people being treated at Covid Care Centers in the state.
Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. In the past 24 hours, 5,335 remdesivir injections have been supplied to various private hospitals. Until yesterday, 22 thousand government securities were available. There are currently 41,818 remdesivir injections available. As of Wednesday, there will be up to 75,000 government securities. He said there was no shortage of remdesivir injections in any hospital in the state.
In addition oxygen draws
He said in the wake of the storm, oxygen was drawn from the center in addition to the daily allocations. In the past 24 hours, 767 metric tons of oxygen has been drawn from the center. The central government is allocating 590 metric tonnes of oxygen to AP on a daily basis. He said an additional 170 metric tons had been carefully drawn before in view of the storm. 650 metric tons of oxygen is being consumed in various hospitals in the state. The rest of the oxygen is stored for future use.
