Tamil Nadu: COVID-19 vaccination Over 2.24 lakh people vaccinated

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has said that more than 2.24 lakh people have been vaccinated in the State. Speaking to newspersons at Thiruvallur district, he told that from January 16th this year, vaccination was done in all the districts of the State. He said that since May 7th after his government took over, 78 thousand vaccine inoculations were done per day.

The Chief Minister explained  that the State had 12 lakh 85 thousand vaccines in stock and the State was expecting eleven lakh 50 thousand vaccines. He said that RT PCR tests were done through 267 centres.

The Chief Minister said that the Government would ensure that vaccination process would go on till everyone is vaccinated. He told that the demand would be met by manufacturing vaccines in the State.

The Chief Minister appealed to everyone in the State to vaccinate them against the pandemic. In another development, the State Government has assured the Madras High Court that people without houses will also be vaccinated.
