Govt talks successful ..Strike called off ..

Junior year doctors, who had been on emergency and general duties for the past two days across the state, called off the strike and resumed duties from Thursday night.

It is learned that duties have been suspended from the 26th of this month with the exception of emergency and ICU services with four main demands.

Strike notices were issued on the 10th of this month on the four demands of stipend hike, treatment for their family members along with healthcare workers, ten per cent incentive, compensation for the families of those who died in the line of duty.

Senior resident doctors were also given a strike notice and suspended from duties from Wednesday.

Director of medical education in the field and landed on the instructions of the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar rao  talks until late on Wednesday night, despite receiving a written guarantee that the strike would continue on Thursday.

The two main demands are resolved

While the two main demands have been resolved. Junior doctors and senior residents have announced that the strike will be called off as it has become clear that they will discuss the rest with the Chief Minister.

Although the demands were not fully met, the strike was called off due to a positive response from the government, said Dr Vasari Naveen, state president of the Judaism Association, Mani kiran reddy and Sunay, president and secretaries of the Hyderabad Gandhi Hospital unit.

The Jewish community hopes that the rest of the demands will be resolved soon. Covid-19 said the strike was being called off due to the need to provide medical care to patients during emergencies.

The strike, which lasted for several days, ended with Judas taking over duties from 9 pm on Thursday.

Orders raising the stipend

Senior residents are currently given a stipend of Rs 70,000 per month. The Department of Medical Education has sent proposals to the government to increase this to 15 per cent.

After considering the proposals, the government increased the monthly stipend to Rs 80,500. It has been revealed that this amount will be implemented from January 1, 2021.

Medical Secretary San Rizvi on Thursday issued orders to this effect. Similarly, the government has also increased the stipend by 15 per cent for medical students pursuing MBBS, BDS, PG degree, PG diploma and MDS courses.
