MP: CBI arrests four FCI officials in bribery case
Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested four officials of Food Corporation of India in a bribery case and recovered three crore rupees during searches.
They include a Divisional Manager, two Managers, an Assistant of FCI.
The agency conducted searches at six places in Bhopal at office and residential premises of accused and recovered around three crore rupees cash, 387 grams gold jewellery and certain documents.
The said cash amount was allegedly kept in different envelopes, some of the bundles marked with names, dates and amounts. A Note Counting Machine was also found.
Earlier, a case was registered on a complaint against the arrested persons over the allegations of demanding bribe for releasing the pending bills of complainant’s company.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding and accepting the bribe of one lakh rupees from the complainant.
