Trainee IPS officers trained at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in the city rescued a family drowning at sea and became their lifeguards.

NPA trainee IPS officers Abhinav Dheeman, Abhinay Vishwakarma, Bharat Soni, Gauhar Hasan, Suvendu Patra, Teshu Lendip (Bhutan), Ahmed Abdul Aziz (Maldives), Mohammad Najeev (Maldives) recently travelled to Lakshadweep for an India program.

While they were there on the beach, they saw the family of an Indian Air Force officer accidentally drowning in the sea.

Immediately the eight men jumped into the sea and rescued all of them. The academy, which is aware of the matter, on Sunday lauded their brave adventures and revealed them to the media.
