Opportunity for Oriental students
Only those who have completed traditional courses like BA, B.Com, B.Sc. can join Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) while those who have studied other subjects can now join B.Ed. To this end, the government has changed the rules for BEd admissions. Education Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania issued G.O 16 to this effect.
Those who have so far studied Oriental languages in the degree have not had the opportunity to join B.Ed. Now they have a new opportunity. Those who have done BA, BCom, BSc, BSc (Home Science), BCA, BBM, BA (Oriental Languages), BBA, BTech in the degree can also study B.Ed. They are required to achieve 50 per cent marks in the respective degrees. For SC, ST and BC candidates 40% marks will suffice.

In order to do B.Ed Physical Science .. BSc students should have studied Physics or Chemistry or related subject in Part-2 group. BTech students in Physics or Chemistry; BCA students need to have studied Physics or Chemistry subjects in Intermediate.
Those who have done BSc / BSc (Home Science) in B.Ed in Biological Science should have studied Part-2 in any subject degree in Botany and Zoology. BCA students must have studied Biological Science in Inter.
B.Com / BBM / BBA / BCA candidates should have studied Social Science in Inter to do B.Ed Social Sciences.
Those who want to do BEd in Oriental Languages should have read Telugu / Hindi / Marathi / Urdu / Arabic / Sanskrit as an optional subject in BA. Literature candidates (BA-L) should have read Telugu / Hindi / Marathi / Urdu / Arabic / Sanskrit.
BA Oriental Languages Must have read Telugu / Hindi / Marathi / Urdu / Arabic / Sanskrit. Those who have done MA Telugu / Hindi / Marathi / Urdu / Arabic / Sanskrit are also eligible.
