Vizag Zoo will conduct awareness programs on Asian wild dog breeds from June 14 to 20
On the occasion of Azadi Ki Amrut Mahotsava (75 years of independence), Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam is conducting awareness programs on Asiatic wild dog breeds from June 14 to June 20, 2021.
The main purpose of the program is to educate the public about Asiatic wild dogs, their habitat and diet, said Sh . P. Ram Mohan Rao, IFS, Conservator of Forests, Visakhapatnam Circle.
He participated in the inaugural session starting today. He said that all children and adults should take advantage of this opportunity and learn intresting information about wild dogs.
Awareness programs about Asiatic Wild Dogs will be conducted to the public in various ways throughout the week. Said, Dr. Nandani Salaria, IFS, Curator, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park. Along with programs like quiz, drawing and short stories, webinars will be conducted with experts in the relevant field.
In the inaugural program, Dr. Bilal Habib & Dr. K.Ramesh from the Wildlife Institute of India. , explained many interesting facts about Wild Dogs. People can watch the live through the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park YouTube channel.
