Andhra University enters into MoU with IPTSE Academy to promote IP culture in the state
The Andhra University and Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) Academy signed an MOU during the webinar virtually.
The MOU was signed by the Prof. V. Krishna Mohan, Registrar of AU and Shri Sourabh Sachdeva of IPTSE and said that the objective of the MoUs is to promote IP culture in the Academic Institutions in Andhra Pradesh.
Under this MoU, IPTSE and Andhra University as a State IPR nodal agency organize workshops, seminars, webinars, organize training programs to faculty members and students and preparing the students for the IP Olympiad Examination and offers internships to students.
While delivering the inaugural address in the IP literacy drive webinar, the Vice Chancellor of AU, Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy highlighted the various initiatives taken by the University to promote IP. He has also mentioned that the University is making it mandatory to file IP application for PhD students particularly to start with who registers for PhD from industry.
The webinar coordinator Prof. H. Purushotham mentioned that there is a need for enhancing the IP Literary rate to enhance the IP filings in the State and DPIIT-IPR Chair, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Andhra University, is going to organize several programs in collaboration with IPTSE to nurture the culture of IP in the State.
