NTPC celebrates International Yoga Day
NTPC’s , a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power celebrated International Yoga Day through today. NTPC’s strength lies in its motivated, disciplined and efficient staff, who are always ready to serve the nation in any situation. Keeping up with the world, NTPC Unchahar also took the help of video conference to celebrate Yoga Day, so that Yoga could land at home, with family.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, yoga was practiced through video conference at NTPC Unchahar. Senior officers performed yoga session at Bal Bhawan and other employees through video conference.
Before the start of yoga practice, Chief General Manager of NTPC Unchahar Shri Bhola Nath gave his address, ‘Our motto should be Yoga for Peace, Harmony and Progress’. He appreciated the NTPC personnel for spreading the message of Yoga. India is engaged in spreading the message of modern yoga from cities to villages and to the homes of poor and tribal communities. He emphasized the importance of making yoga an integral part of life .
NTPC Unchahar employees nurtured the culture of Yoga with family at their respective homes.
It is worth mentioning that this program is celebrated in NTPC Unchahar with complete solidarity since the time the Yoga practice was started by the Government of India in 2014. The program has been organized in a very systematic manner, in which there has been participation of all sections.
NTPC-Ramagundam: Make Yoga an integral part of life for overall Wellness: CGM Sunil Kumar
In line with this year’s thrust on ‘Yoga for Wellness’, ‘#Be With Yoga, Be At Home’ and in adherence to Covid Protocols, the 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2021 through virtual mode at NTPC-Ramagundam/Telangana.
Inaugurating the programme through virtual mode, Shri Sunil Kumar, CGM (Ramagundam & Telangana) underlined the importance of age-old practice of Yoga which rejuvenates body, mind, soul and heart. It not only energizes our body but also increases immunity power which is vital in our fight against Covid-19, he added.
On this occasion, Shri A Vijay Kumar, Yoga trainer, spoke on “Yoga for Healthy Life” and imparted various yoga postures to the participants through virtual mode. In fact, Shri A Vijay Kumar is associated in conducting the month-long online yoga classes for employees, dependents and associates since June 16, 2021.
As part of the programme, CSR section also organized an interaction session for the students of TS EAMCET Coaching wherein Shri Sunil Kumar, CGM (Ramagundam & Telangana) asked them to make Yoga an integral part of their lives to achieve good health and success.
A Yoga lecture on “Easy way of doing Yoga” by Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Yoga Instructor from Bihar School of Yoga, Munger is also planned for employees. Add to this, Deepthi Mahila Samithi (Ladies Club) in association with HR dept. is conducting another lecture on “Stress Management by Sahaja Yoga during Pandemic” by Sh Jasmin Panchal, practitioner of Sahaja Yoga Meditation for members and their families.
