Telangana: Online classes to be held for class 1st to PG level Students from July 1
Telangana, online classes will be held for class 1 to Post Graduate level Students from 1st July and no physical classes will be held. The State Government has issued orders to this effect.
The decision was taken considering the Covid-19 situation and fears that gripped lakhs of students and their parents. Education Minister Sabita Indrareddy said officials have been instructed to hold online classes so that the students do not lose an academic year.
Now, the reopening of education institutes will confine to online and digital classes in Telangana. Earlier, the government permitted opening of schools, junior and degree colleges and all other technical institutions for direct teaching and to hold offline classes.
After a high level review meeting held yesterday, Education Minister Sabita Indrareddy said online and digital classes will be telecast through Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels for schools and intermediate students.
Orders were also issued to all District Collectors to make arrangements for utilisation of televisions in gram panchayat offices and libraries for students who do not have TV sets at their homes.
For students who miss digital classes on Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels, the same will be made available on T-SAT App and Doordarshan YouTube channel.
Officials informed that the online classes will benefit about 27 lakh students in government schools across the State. About 90 per cent of textbooks for students have been delivered to schools while nearly 75,000 WhatsApp groups created between students and teachers in government schools for clearing their doubts in lessons.
