Vijayawada: Air India plans to operate international flights as part from Gannavaram Airport
Air India is planning to operate international flights as part from Gannavaram International Airport at Vijayawada.
As part of Vande Bharat Mission, Air India will launch direct flights to Muscat, the Capital of Oman, from 20th of July.
An extended runway is likely to come into operation from 15th of July at Vijayawada International Airport near Gannavaram in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh.
Air India is planning to run direct services between Muscat and Vijayawada once a week or thrice from the first week of July and may increase the services based on demand from passengers.
There has been a demand for these services particularly from Coastal and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
