Dutee Chand qualifies for Tokyo Olympics through her world ranking in both 100m and 200m

Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju today congratulated Dutee Chand on qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics through her world ranking in both the 100 metre and 200 metre.

In a tweet, Mr Rijiju said, he is confident that our athletes will give their best at Tokyo 2020. He also congratulated Sania Mirja and Ankita Raina, who will represent India in Women’s Doubles Tennis at Tokyo Olympics. This will be Sania’s 4th Olympics while it will be Ankita Raina’s debut.

Mr Rijiju said, backstroke swimmer Maana Patel has become the 1st female and 3rd Indian swimmer to qualify for Tokyo 2020. He also congratulated Maana, who qualified through Universality Quota.
