Tamil Nadu lockdown extended till July 12
Tamilnadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has announced extension of lockdown with more relaxations till 12th July. The present lockdown ends on Monday. Chief Minister had a review meeting with the Ministers and officials of the Government on Covid situation in the State yesterday.
The State has been recording a continuous decrease even as 4,230 fresh covid cases were recorded yesterday. The total number of deaths due to Covid was 97.
The State registered 36 thousand 707 active cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested by RT -PCR was one lakh 60 thousand 810. The Government has announced a uniform regulation in all the districts.
Fifty persons are allowed to attend weddings and 20 persons for funerals. Business exhibitions are allowed to be held only with participants who have received two doses of the vaccine. Hotels, hostels and restaurants are allowed for dine-ins with 50 percent customers from 6 am to 8 pm without air conditioning.
There is no necessity for E passes for travel within the state. All the activities are to be carried out with Covid appropriate behaviour. Inter-state public and private transport, schools, colleges, zoos, theatres have not been allowed to operate.
