Uttarakhand: Pushkar Singh Dhami to take oath as new CM
Mr Pushkar Singh Dhami will be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
He will take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow evening in Raj Bhavan at Dehradun.
Earlier, Mr. Dhami was elected as a Leader of the BJP Legislative Party this evening in a meeting.
Soon after being elected as the leader, Mr. Dhami thanked the BJP Central leadership for reposing faith in him and said, he will deal with the challenges lying ahead with everyone’s cooperation.
Born on 16 September 1975 in Pithoragarh District, Mr. Dhami is a two-time BJP MLA who represents the Khatima Constituency in the hill state’s Kumaon region.
He worked with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the BJP’s ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
