Delhi: Rs. 2500 Cr heroin seizure: 4 persons arrested
Heroin was seized heavily in the city. Delhi Special Cell officials seized 354 kg of heroin worth Rs 2,500 crore. A total of four smugglers were arrested.
There are three from Haryana and one from Delhi. Authorities say this is the largest drug racket ever seized by a special cell. Police are investigating in terms of narco-terrorism. The accused are being prosecuted to this extent.
Special Cell Officer Neeraj Thakur told the media on Saturday, “Our operation has been going on for the last few months. These drugs came from Afghanistan. Hidden in containers and brought by sea from Mumbai to Delhi.

The drugs were processed at a factory in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. They hid them in a rented house there. One person involved in the case is in Afghanistan.
These drugs were kept for supply in Punjab. It appears that the drug operation is being funded by Pakistan. “
